THE TAPESTRY WEAWING MILL The restored remains of the old Carthusian Monastery, built centuries ago on the surroundings of the Asti town by the "Vallombrosani" monks, and later passed on to the Carthusian monks
who
lived there until the
Napoleonic
age.
Approximately forty years ago it was restored and now is used by Mr. Ugo Scassa both as "MUSEUM"
and "FACTORY OF CONTEMPORARY TAPESTRY". The one of the few of tapestry weaving mills still active in Italy.. |
